Criminal appointment workflow
This page is designed for clients who have already booked a criminal law appointment with Prior Law. It captures the booking details, then takes the client to a separate secure card authorisation page.
The next page does not take payment immediately. It requests a pre-authorisation only, so the card can be charged after the booked appointment has been provided.
Depending on the client’s bank, a pre-authorisation may appear as a temporary pending hold. Prior Law does not process the $250 fee until after the appointment has occurred.
How it works
A clean client workflow from booking confirmation to card authorisation.
Client enters their appointment details, contact information and booking reference.
Client is redirected to a secure PayWay card page to place a $250 pre-authorisation only.
Prior Law can later capture the authorised amount after the appointment has been completed.
Common questions
No. This workflow places a card authorisation only. Prior Law will not process the $250 fee until after the appointment has taken place.
Yes. Some banks display pre-authorisations as temporary pending holds. That is controlled by the client’s card issuer, not by Prior Law.
You can simply avoid sending them to this page, or Prior Law can choose not to capture the pre-authorisation later.
